Last night I stopped by BestBuy just to browse around and happened to notice that they had the new 3D Samsung TV as their featured home theater product. I decided to put the shades on and give it a try. I was drooling before the glasses were even settled on the bridge of my nose. The clarity was unbelievable and within ten seconds, I had completely forgotten I had glasses on. It truly looked 3D. I could tell were objects were in relational perspective to each other without feeling like I was looking at cardboard cutouts.
The package they had put together cost around $3,400.00, which is about $2,400.00 more than I'm willing to spend at this time. However, like HD before it, I'm sure 3D TV's will drop in price fairly quick, after the market is saturated with choices.

I'm scared....
I'm scared that the "sleeping giant" that was awakened December 7, 1941, has slowly been poisoned to death since the '60's!
I'm scared that our elected officials have forgotten that they were elected to SERVE as our representatives, not to tell us how to live our lives!
I'm scared that trying to please everyone, has made it great for no one!
I'm scared that we are witnessing the fall of the United States of America, at our own hands!

If you take the logic out, everything makes sense!
Charlotte-Mecklenburg is reporting that their budget is in worse shape than they originally reported and it is due to lower than expected income from the sales tax. One of the first areas they are considering cuts is the school system.
Help me understand this. Charlotte has an estimated 12% unemployment rate. If you are not working, you are not getting paid and if you are not getting paid, you are not buying! I think that pretty much explains why there is lower income from the sales tax.
So, Charlotte wants to make cuts to education. I thought education is how you improved yourself to get better jobs or higher paying jobs and if people are furthering their education, they find jobs? With jobs, they get paid. With money, they spend. With spending, there is sales tax.
I know the education cuts that Charlotte is looking at are with the elementary, middle and high schools, but why is education the first place we look to make our cuts? Education should be the last place we look to make our cuts.
